How you will make an impact:
The MDS Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments, per Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other payer program requirements. Also, the MDS Coordinator will ensure MDS assessments accurately reflect the physical, mental and psychosocial status of each resident and ensure appropriate documentation to support services provided.
Schedule: On-call/ as-needed basis
What you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN licensure in the state of employment.
- Previous work experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
- MDS 3.0 experience required.
- RAC-CT or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire and maintain recertification as required.
- Makes mature judgments, functions independently, is flexible, has personal integrity and works effectively with personnel.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
