What You'll Do:
- Ensure residents are safely transported by planning efficient routes and providing door-to-door service
- Make sure residents are received safely by staff or family upon arrival
- Act as an ambassador of Wittenberg Village by maintaining courteous and professional behavior
- Enhance the organization’s reputation through excellent service
- Assist residents in getting into and out of the vehicle
- Communicate any special information, directions, or requests concerning residents' needs to team members or their families
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
- Must be able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English
- Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and operating manuals
- Valid driver's license required
- 1 year of bus driving experience required
- Experience working with older adults preferred
