Building Services Manager
Wittenberg Village in Crown Point is hiring a Building Services Manager, $60,000–$65,000 a year, commensurate with experience. Full-time, day hours, with on-call rotation.
As Building Services Manager, you'll oversee maintenance, environmental services, and security staff, keeping the community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff alike.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily building operations across maintenance, security, and environmental services
- Manage team schedules, training, performance evaluations, and recruitment
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and applicable codes (NFPA, IDPH)
- Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, inspections, and preventative care
- Chair the Safety Committee and collaborate across departments
- Serve as the liaison for contractors and oversee facility projects
- Participate in on-call rotation and step in for routine maintenance when needed
What you'll need
Required:
- 2 years of technical or trade school training, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of CMS-recognized NFPA 101 Life Safety Code
- Strong familiarity with hand and power tools
- At least 18 years old
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in a healthcare environment
